The Forum met for the first time on the 7th December 2015. This induction meeting, followed by another on the 27th of January, was held in order for the Forum to discuss how it would function and what the goals and scope of the Forum should be. During the two meetings the Forum members discussed and agreed a Standing Orders document. This document set the procedures and principles for the Forum, and it was agreed that when conducting all aspects of its business the Forum would follow the principles of Transparency & Openness, Fairness, Efficiency, Collegiality and Tolerance.
In addition, the Forum invited representatives of the Commission for Energy Regulation, the Department of the Environment and Irish Water to present to the Forum. These presentations provided an overview of the sector and where each of the three organisations saw their roles. All documents discussed, as well as copies of the Forums Standing Orders and the presentations, have been published today.
The documents can be viewed in our Publications section.
